About the service we provide

Before and after works

Welcome to Moroney Conservation Limited.

I am Alan Moroney. We operate as advisors, suppliers and specialised contractors to the building restoration and conservation sector. I have spent almost all my working life working on historic buildings and structures. From castles to churches, national monuments to 20th century cricket pavilions. Working with top tier contractors on multimillion euro projects or tidy town committees caring for local historical assets, the range is vast. We like to employ a hands on, common sense approach with all the projects that we engage with. No project is too small, and all enquiries are welcomed.

We are from Kerry, based in Cork and travel throughout southern Ireland working on historic properties and sites.

Our role on your project

Some of the occasions when we are employed on a contract include,

When the project is too small for a full architectural team, but your local team of craftspeople do not have the experience to point you in the right direction. We will engage with, and mentor, your team to achieve the best result for the project.

When the Architect or design team need some specialised input to mitigate the risks inherent in a conservation or restoration project.

When the main contractor undertaking the project would like to hire in some assistance to deliver the project in a professional and cost effective manner.

When the property owner just wants to run through some ideas with someone who knows the pitfalls

Advice before you purchase a property that is listed or historic in nature.

These are all areas we assist with on a weekly basis.
